Study in the study programme “Security Management” The University of Security Management in Košice organizes a full-time and external study in the field of study: 8.3.1 “Protection of Persons and Property” in the study programme “Security Management” for the 1st level of the university education (Bc.) and since the academic year 2009/2010 also for the study in the 2nd level of the university education (Ing.) in same study programme. Also graduates of the bachelor study in the affined fields of study can register to the study in the 2nd level of the university education after the differential exams performance. Hereafter the university prepares also other up-to-date and interesting study programmes which are a high current and needed for a practice. These study programmes take up on the study programme “Security Management” and they give to undergraduates a possibility to evolve their accomplishment in an area of economy, practical low, and estimate of risk, prognosis and global development of a security awareness of population which was finished by the military basic service annulment. The present study programmes are original and they have not been yet prepared at any university and college in Slovakia. These study programmes are divided into three areas: “Management of Economical Security”, Management of Building and Transport Security” and “Information Security”.
Basic information about the study: The study is focussed on university preparation of experts for a public administration sphere as well as for private administration sphere. Graduates solve security tasks in a production sphere at protection of material and immaterial property of citizens and natural persons and corporate entity and villages and state from influence of risks security of various orders. Graduate has equivalent and for up-to-date conditions attractive education on security information technologies and economic and social sciences with a competence of these sciences to apply into area of internal and external protection of the state and risks of any orders. The study guarantees practice and mobility of a graduate in management posts in: public administration, security services of whole range, executive agencies, integrated salvage systems, self-government, private firms and corporate, metropolitan police, police forces and armed forces of the Slovak Republic. Since the academic year 2008/2009 the university guarantees a continuation of the study programme “Security Management” in the 2nd level (Ing.) of the university education. Graduate of the study in the 2nd level of the university education takes one's degree as:

During the study in a full-time education form undergraduates absolve according to themselves interest the special course of survival in the hindered conditions in the charge of the professional staff. After there undergraduates obtain the certificate of expert for a survival in the hindered milieu. During the study undergraduate also obtains the basic passport of the martial art course graduate as well as the certificate of the expert qualification of security services – type “S” and the firearms certificate for a personal gun-toting. According to the academic orientation of the university lectures are kept by the renowned university pedagogues with a private access to undergraduates and with an endeavour to help in negotiation of some university education trap. The university does not evaluate its quality according to number of out undergraduates but according to undergraduates which self-overcome and they invest the every effort to a study graduation. For this purpose there are establishing all instruments and conditions at the university. These instruments and conditions guarantee a successful graduation of the “University of Security Management in Košice” and consecutive practice of graduates.
