Student Support Center
The support center is primarily intended to fulfill tasks resulting from § 100 and § 100a of Act no. 131/2002 Coll. - Act on universities and on amendments and additions to certain laws. In addition to the tasks defined by law, the center also implements additional support resulting from the nature and needs of the VŠBM in Košice.
Tasks according to § 100a of Act 131/2002 Coll. o University - Provision of consultancy:
- for the purpose of improving the mental health of students,
- their motivations for studying,
- help with problems that could threaten the proper completion of studies,
- assistance in applying to the labor market.
Tasks according to § 100 of Act 131/2002 Coll. o Higher education institutions - According to the amendment to the law, only state and public schools deal with the support of students and applicants for studies with specific needs. Nevertheless, our university applies for this form of assistance and has a long-term delegated contact person for applicants/students with specific needs:
